About Killorglin Rugby Club

Killorglin Rugby Football Club has a proud and enduring sporting history dating back to the mid-1880s, making it one of the earliest rugby-playing communities in Kerry. While rugby temporarily gave way to Gaelic football in the late 19th century, the game resurfaced in Killorglin at various points throughout the 20th century, enjoying notable success in the 1930s and maintaining strong local interest in the decades that followed.

After several revivals, Killorglin RFC was firmly re-established in the 1999/2000 season and has since grown steadily. Today, the club boasts a thriving youth section from Under 8s through to senior level, competes in the Munster Junior League, and is widely recognised for its strong coaching, volunteer commitment, and community spirit. The club has also been honoured with prestigious Munster awards and continues to play a vital role in developing rugby for all ages within the local community.
